About the Monsters, Miles, and Miracles 5K
This is a Halloween costume run in Gardnerville, with runners showing up dressed as characters of all kinds. The organizer runs it as a fundraiser tied to infertility awareness, so there is a personal story behind it that tends to give the morning a different weight than a typical themed race.
Costumes are encouraged for everyone, including kids and stroller-pushers. The event is built to welcome all paces and ages, so expect a wide mix on the course. Post-race the mood is social, with the cause front and center for anyone who wants to learn more about what the race supports.
