The course follows paved roads through a campground that wraps around Diamond Lake, so the water is never far from view. The terrain is smooth and the route stays close to the shoreline, which makes the surroundings the main thing you notice. Chip timing handles the start and finish.
There is no separate pickup location to navigate: everything, including bib collection, happens at the resort on race morning before the start.
