About the Monster Dash 5k Run/Walk
The course runs through the grounds of a lakeside camping park on packed gravel and mixed terrain, with moderate hills throughout. It is a trail run, not a road race, so expect some variation underfoot and a route that winds through the park rather than following a straight out-and-back. The Halloween timing gives the whole morning a costume-friendly atmosphere.
The race benefits Care Camps Foundation, which supports children with cancer through outdoor camp experiences. Bib pickup opens before the start at the lodge, so there is no need to sort that out the morning of if you get there a bit early. There are snacks and water on site after you finish.
