About the Monster Dash 5K Run/Walk
The course follows the Rountree Branch Trail the whole way, so there is no pavement-to-trail transition to manage. Costumes are encouraged, which gives the start line a different energy than most autumn races. Age-group prizes lean into the season too, with things like gift cards and jugs of apple cider handed out to winners.
The start is near a spot on the trail called the Fish Garden, where Valley Road runs alongside. Parking is in the City Garage lot on Valley Road. Day-of registration opens before the race starts, with a tent set up to handle it.
