About the Monster Dash 5K, 10K, and 1 Mile
Monster Dash runs through Harlon Block Sports Park in Weslaco, with several distance options to choose from. The race has a Halloween theme, and costumes are encouraged, so the start line tends to look more like a parade than a typical race morning. The park setting keeps things contained and easy to navigate for anyone bringing kids along.
Beyond the race itself, there is a good amount going on. A vendor market, food trucks, a trick-or-treat trail for younger kids, a pumpkin patch photo area, and live music all share the footprint with the finish area. A costume contest, including one for dogs, runs alongside everything else.
