About the MKFD FIRED UP 5K
The race is put on by the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department, and proceeds go toward training and equipment for the volunteers who run it. It honors a former race director, Kathy Tilden, who shaped the event for years and is remembered warmly by everyone connected to it. That history gives the morning a weight that most local road races don't carry.
Pre-registration is required, so make sure you are signed up before race day, as there is no day-of registration option at this event.
