About the Mission Possible

The trail course runs outside Gervais, with chip timing for both distance options. Part of what you pay to enter goes toward the All Abilities event, which runs on mostly paved bike paths with a short gravel stretch at the start. Volunteers are out on that course to keep things moving and offer encouragement along the way.

After the run, there are free pancakes, snacks, and drinks at the finish. The schedule is built so you can finish your own race and still be there to cheer the All Abilities participants across the line.

Common Questions About the Mission Possible

Will I finish last at the Mission Possible?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 41:56, and the last recorded finisher came in around 50:37, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Mission Possible a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (26 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Mission Possible?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 26:13 while the median finisher took 41:56. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
