About the Wildcat Fright Night 5K
This is a Halloween-themed evening race that raises money for the local high school marching band. The band plays at the start and again as runners come back to the finish, so there is live music on both ends of your run. A 5K and a longer option are both on the schedule, and the course is timed by a local race management company.
The race runs on an evening start, which makes it a different kind of race night than the usual weekend morning. Costumes fit right in given the Halloween theme, and the energy around the start and finish areas comes mostly from the band and the families there to watch.
