About the Miles for Meals 5K (AED x Kearney Center)
This campus race starts near a well-known integration statue outside the student union, so the surroundings are familiar to anyone who spends time on the FSU grounds. The route is a straightforward out-and-back style run, and the field skews heavily toward students, with walkers welcome alongside runners. Proceeds go to a local shelter working to address homelessness and hunger in the area.
Check-in opens well before the gun, so there is time to sort out on-site registration if you skipped the pre-registration window. After the race, a representative from the Kearney Center speaks, and raffle drawings follow. Waivers must be signed and submitted in advance or handled on-site at check-in before you can pick up a bib.
