About the 12th Annual Mighty Gobbler
The course runs through a Troy neighborhood, mixing residential streets with sidewalks and some commercial stretches. It starts in a church parking lot off a main road and winds back through the surrounding area. The terrain is flat and paved throughout, so there are no surprises underfoot. Being Thanksgiving morning, expect a crowd that skews toward families getting outside before the meal.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at the host church, with a second option on race morning at the start line. If you can pick up the night before, the lines are shorter. The raffle is worth knowing about: bring unexpired canned goods and each one earns you a ticket. Proceeds benefit local food and volunteer organizations in the Troy area.
