About the Midstate Massive Ultra Trail
The course follows the Midstate Trail south through central Massachusetts, crossing into neighboring states at each end. The terrain mixes mountain paths, open fields, stretches of road, and river crossings, so the ground underfoot keeps changing. Fall foliage is at or near its peak, which means the forest sections are genuinely striking. Several distance options are available, from a long day out to a full hundred-miler.
