About the Midsommar
This one is built around the heat. The course is a repeating loop through open terrain near Rogersville, with no shade to speak of, and the sun is the whole point. Several distance options are available, from a single loop up to an all-day-and-night sufferfest. The route starts and ends at a central hub called The Maypole, and you return there after every lap.
The Maypole doubles as the main aid station and crew access point, so cold fluids, ice, electrolytes, and solid food are never far off. Because every loop brings you back to the same spot, your drop bag and any crew you bring are available between every single lap. Hot food comes out in the evening for those going long into the night.
