About the Middleton Good Neighbor Fest 5K

The race starts and finishes at Middleton High School, which puts you in a residential part of town with sidewalks and paths threading through the neighborhood. The course has been adjusted to bring back some of the original path sections, so the route has a bit more variety underfoot than a straight road race. It runs at a pace that suits most fitness levels.

Packet pickup the evening before is at a Fleet Feet location on Old Sauk Road. Race-morning pickup and registration happen at the high school near the south entrance, with time to spare before the start. The race benefits local service organizations, and volunteers from the Boy Scouts help run the course.

Common Questions About the Middleton Good Neighbor Fest 5K

Will I finish last at the Middleton Good Neighbor Fest 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 29:28, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:00:07, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Middleton Good Neighbor Fest 5K a good first 3.1 Miles?

A field of 227 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Middleton Good Neighbor Fest 5K?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 17:09 while the median finisher took 29:28. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
