About the Mid-Summer 5K Challenge

The course starts beside the bleachers of the high school's track and field facility, loops out through the surrounding roads, and brings you back to finish the last stretch on the track itself. The route is on pavement throughout, and both mile and kilometer markers are posted along the way. Proceeds go to the school's cross country teams.

Age group awards cover a wide spread of categories for runners, and walkers have their own overall awards as well. The start area is right on campus, so the track and the bleachers give the morning a familiar, school-meet feel.
