About the Merry Miles 5K Fun Run/Walk & Kids Dash
The race starts and finishes at a local distillery in Beeville, in the early evening, which gives the whole thing a different feel from a typical morning run. The course is a short out-and-back or loop that gets you back in time for the main event. A kids dash goes off first, so families tend to linger from the start.
Hot cocoa and cookies are waiting at the finish. The timing is deliberate: the city's Christmas parade follows the race through downtown, so most people stick around and turn the whole evening into something bigger than just the run itself.
