About the Mental Health Matters 5k Walk/Run for Awareness
The course starts on a track, does a partial loop, then heads out onto campus roads that roll through the main quad and past several academic buildings before returning to the track to finish. There is genuine elevation change on the campus portion, so expect some climbing. A health and resource fair runs inside the track infield area near the finish.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before the race at the Asheville Chamber of Commerce, with a drive-through option. On race morning, paid parking is required on campus, so building in extra time before the start makes sense. Race-morning pickup is available if you miss the earlier window.
