About the Masquerade 5K
The Masquerade 5K runs through Blish Park and draws runners in costume alongside those there purely to race. The costume element is taken seriously, with prizes going to several categories, so the start line has some genuine creativity on display. Strollers are welcome, though dogs are not.
Race-day registration opens well before the start, so arriving early gives you time to get sorted without rushing. The race is put on by the Marlborough Lions Club, which gives it a local civic character rather than a commercial feel.
