About the 4th Annual Marquette County Fair Fun Run
The course runs through the Marquette County Fairgrounds, starting near the go-kart area. It is short enough that most people finish feeling good, and the fair itself opens up right after, so the morning rolls naturally into the rest of the day. Prizes go to the top male and female finishers, but plenty of people are there just to get moving before the rides and food.
A barnyard costume contest kicks things off just before the run starts, with prizes for adult and kids categories. The whole thing is tied to fair weekend, so the grounds are already coming alive when you arrive. Registration includes all-day fair admission, which makes the entry fee feel like it covers more than just the race.
