About the Marion Popcorn Festival 5K
The course starts at the corner of Main and Church Street, right in the heart of Marion, and ties into the town's annual Popcorn Festival. The race finishes before the festival gets going around you, so there is a natural reason to stick around after you cross the line. Age group awards go deep into both ends of the age range, including the youngest and oldest runners out there.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at a fitness center on Mt Vernon Ave. The start area is easy to find, sitting at a named downtown intersection rather than tucked away in a park.
