About the Margaritaville Run Orlando Half Marathon, 10K & 5K
The race is based at Margaritaville Resort Orlando in Kissimmee, and the post-race scene there is genuinely part of the draw. Live music plays while people recover, and there are margaritas and beer at the finish for anyone of legal drinking age. A costume contest runs alongside the racing, which sets the tone: this is a morning where the party has as much planning behind it as the course does.
Packet pickup includes access to a pre-race happy hour at the resort, so the social side starts before the gun goes off. The finish area becomes an expo with drinks and live music, making it easy to stay a while. The race also supports Give Kids The World Village, a local nonprofit that hosts wish vacations for critically ill children and their families.
