About the Margarita 5K at Plaza Antigua
The course winds through a neighborhood near Plaza Antigua, a restaurant with a spacious outdoor venue that hosts the post-race gathering. Dogs on leashes and strollers are welcome on the course, which keeps things open to a wide range of paces without feeling like a race-within-a-race. The whole event ties into National Hispanic Heritage Month, so there is some cultural context behind the timing.
After you finish, the restaurant's outdoor space is set up with seating, and there are margaritas at the post-race party. A portion of what the race brings in goes to a local nonprofit called HERO of Waynesboro.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
