About the Mackinaw Valley Wine Run 5k

The course runs through the vineyard property itself, on grass and uneven ground rather than pavement. The organizers are upfront that it is not a course for chasing a personal best; the terrain is cross-country style, with a couple of loops around the vines. It starts and finishes at the winery, and there is wine waiting at the end.

Pickup happens at the winery on race morning, with enough time before the gun to get sorted. Age group results go up online after the race; if you placed in your category, you collect your award at the registration table yourself. No ceremony, just check and go.
