The course runs through Shore Acres State Park on paved roads, heading south on the way out and straight back on the return. It is hilly throughout, and the ocean views are real, not incidental. This is not a flat park path; the terrain pushes back, and the scenery earns it.
Parking at the park requires a pass, available at a kiosk near registration using your phone. Day passes and annual state park passes are both sold there, so plan a few extra minutes before the start.
