About the M.A.D. (Make A Difference) Dash
The M.A.D. Dash raises money for a prison ministry and starts at a Baptist church on Thomasville Road. Both the shorter and longer distance options are chip-timed on certified courses. The race itself benefits a cause, so the crowd skews toward people who know what the ministry does and why they showed up.
Packet pickup happens the evening before in the Fellowship Hall, alongside a silent auction that continues through race morning. The church parking lot closes around the start window, but a nearby park and a school campus offer overflow parking. A pancake breakfast runs through mid-morning, and awards follow the auction results.
