About the Lyndora Historical Walk, Run, Roll 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The course winds through Lyndora's historic streets, passing through neighborhoods that carry the area's industrial past. It starts and finishes at Blue Fields, a newer facility that gives the event a clean, open hub. The route is scenic without being technical, and the mix of streets keeps it interesting without any serious climbing.
The race is put on by a local Rotary club, and the post-race atmosphere reflects that. It is organized around community more than competition, and the finish area at Blue Fields gives everyone a place to gather after. Proceeds go toward the club's local charitable work, so the entry fee does real work beyond race day.
