About the Love in Action Walk/Run
Vista View Park gives this race some actual terrain. The course winds through the park and crosses a couple of hills, which stands out for the area. Runners doing the longer option complete a second loop of the same route, so the hills come around again. The race supports a foundation working to bring relief to children and families facing a humanitarian crisis abroad.
Packet pickup runs the day before at a local bicycle shop in Weston. On race day, parking is inside the park to the left of the entrance, first come first served, and the organizers note the entrance can back up, so arriving early helps. There is an after-party with music, refreshments, and vendors once the racing winds down.
