The course winds through the campus and woods behind a Catholic high school, decorated with Christmas lights for the occasion. It is a wooded route with mixed terrain, run in a couple of loops, so you pass through the lit-up sections more than once. The race benefits St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, with teams competing to direct a share of the proceeds to a charity of their choosing.
