The Longest Night Mile runs on a high school track in Phoenix, with heats staggered by pace so you line up alongside people moving at roughly the same speed. Entry is either a small cash donation or a few boxes of dry cereal, both going to a local university student food pantry. Ribbons go to the top finishers in each age group.
