About the Longest Dam Race
The main courses start at the dam shaft houses and run across the top of the dam, then drop sharply down a gravel and dirt road before finishing on pavement at a park. The descent is the defining feature: long, loose underfoot, and steep enough that your legs know about it afterward. The shorter and flatter option stays on a paved nature trail at the finish-line park.
All events end at Kiwanis Park, so spectators and finishers from every distance end up in the same place. The post-race scene there is outdoor and open, with the dam visible in the distance.

The Longest Dam Race has been held every year since at least 2016. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
