About the 13th Annual Live Like Jake 5k

The course runs through Downtown Abacoa, starting and finishing near a stadium grill at the corner of a couple of main streets. The theme is bright neon, so expect a colorful crowd. The race raises money for drowning prevention and swim lesson scholarships, and there is a kids' zone with music and activities alongside the course area.

The start and finish sit between several parking garages, with street parking nearby as well. Roads close before the gun goes off, so arriving early and carpooling helps. Restrooms are inside the stadium next to the start. A raffle tent runs through mid-morning, with prize drawings and a merch tent rounding out the post-race scene.
