About the Little Big Town 5K and Family Fun Run
The course runs flat through the area around Van Alstyne High School, which also serves as the start and finish. It is a straightforward route with no real hills to speak of, and the school grounds give it an open, familiar feel. The fun run and the longer race go off at separate times, so the start area sees a steady rhythm of activity through the morning.
Packet pickup the evening before is at the Central Social District on Van Alstyne Parkway, a local gathering spot a short drive from the school. Race-morning pickup opens well before the first wave goes off, right at the starting line.
