Plumas Lake, CA
This Halloween run is put on by a local firefighters' association with deep roots in the community. Proceeds go toward supporting firefighters and their families, which gives the morning a sense of purpose beyond the finish line. The Halloween theme brings out costumes, and the atmosphere is warmer than your average weekend race.
