About the 2nd Annual Lights & Sirens 5K, 10K, and 1 Mile Fun Run
The course winds through the Riddles Bend Community, a residential area with waterways, open farmland, and older Southern homes along the route. It is put on by the Rainbow City Police Department and benefits a youth mentorship program connected to the department. Local officers and program members are out on course, so there is a presence you do not get at most small races.
The start and finish are at a fire station on Riddles Bend Road, which also serves as the hub for vendor booths and post-race refreshments. Several distance options mean groups can split up and still end up at the same finish area when they are done.
