About the Light The Night With Hope
This one runs after dark along a lit pathway, and the point is the glow. Runners and walkers show up in light-up shoes and glowing outfits, and the awards lean into that: there are categories for best outfit, brightest glow, best dance moves. It is put on by a domestic violence awareness organization, so the mood is purposeful alongside the festivity.
The race is short enough that kids and grandparents run it together, and the costume-style categories mean people arrive with some effort put into their look. Post-race awards cover both finishing place and creative categories, so there is a reason to stick around after you cross.
