About the LewisGale Salem Half Marathon, 8K and Kids Fun Run
The course starts and finishes at the Salem Farmers Market downtown, winding through residential neighborhoods, past a college campus, and through the business district. It is not flat throughout; hills show up along the way and the organizers are upfront about that, calling it a course designed for runners who want a challenge.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at the farmers market, with a short window on race morning as well. Walk-up registration is available at both. Runners who cannot make either pickup can arrange to have their packet shipped.
