About the 12th Annual Let's Move Day 5K Run/Walk/100M Dash

The distance is officially certified, so the measurement is reliable. Alongside the main run there is a short dash for young kids, and a games area keeps the younger crowd busy while runners are out on the course. Strollers are welcome on the route, which gives it a family-forward feel without being precious about pace.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at Wayne SDA Church, with a race-morning window as a backup for those who cannot make it the night before. Same-day registration closes before the first wave goes off, so arriving early gives you time to sort everything without rushing.

Common Questions About the 12th Annual Let's Move Day 5K Run/Walk/100M Dash

Will I finish last at the 12th Annual Let's Move Day 5K Run/Walk/100M Dash?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 36:26, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:05:55, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the 12th Annual Let's Move Day 5K Run/Walk/100M Dash a good first 5K?

It is a small race (65 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the 12th Annual Let's Move Day 5K Run/Walk/100M Dash?

The 5K winner ran 17:43 while the median finisher took 36:26. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
