About the Leif's Run 2026
The race starts and finishes in front of City Hall in downtown Norway, so the festival is already gathering around you at the start line. The course runs through the surrounding streets, and when you cross the finish, a crowd of Viking costumed performers and festival spectators is there to meet you. A costume contest runs alongside the competitive awards, which adds its own texture to the field.
Check-in and race-day registration open in the City Hall lobby on the morning of the race. Parking is on the side streets nearby. Afterward, the Band Shell beside the finish hosts live music, and the broader festival rolls on through the day with food vendors, Viking reenactments, a blacksmith demonstration, and a parade.
