About the Left, Right, Left 5k
The race is organized by a veterans' employee group at Piedmont Airlines, and the proceeds go toward a local village of tiny homes that houses veterans experiencing homelessness. That connection gives the morning a specific weight that most road races do not carry. The course itself is a standard road distance, and walkers are welcome alongside runners.
Parking is free in the lot next to the Fairfield Inn and Suites near the start. Registration opens before the gun, so you can handle bib pickup race morning without arriving the night before. Awards are spread across a range of age groups.
