About the Leeds Valor Fest 5k

The course begins and ends at Rails and Ales in downtown Leeds, so the post-race scene is right there when you cross the line. The race honors the city's recipients of the nation's highest military honor, and that context gives the morning a weight that most local races don't carry. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome, and timing is handled by a local running shop.

Packet pickup and check-in open race morning at Rails and Ales, so there is no separate trip the day before. Public parking is available throughout downtown. After the awards, Valor Fest takes over the surrounding street with food trucks and live music, and nearby shops run special sales, so there is plenty of reason to stay awhile.
