About the LBL Bridge to Bridge Trail Run

The course starts at one bridge and ends at another, with the Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area filling most of the distance in between. Runners cross into LBL on a paved path before picking up the Central Hardwoods Scenic Trail, which carries them through the full stretch of that trail before returning to pavement. The finish comes just after crossing Kentucky Lake.

There is also a shorter fun run option that crosses Kentucky Lake on the Eggner's Ferry Bridge, starting from the Fenton side. Both courses use bridges as landmarks, so the water crossings are woven into the route rather than just bookending it. Individual and relay entries are both available for the main course.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 24, 2026.

Common Questions About the LBL Bridge to Bridge Trail Run

Will I finish last at the LBL Bridge to Bridge Trail Run?

Almost certainly not. Half the 22K field finished slower than 2:21:08, and the last recorded finisher came in around 4:02:28, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the LBL Bridge to Bridge Trail Run a good first 22K?

It is a small race (136 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 22K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the LBL Bridge to Bridge Trail Run?

The 22K winner ran 1:26:23 while the median finisher took 2:21:08. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
