About the Lawson Lake 5k
The course loops around Lawson Lake a couple of times for the run, or once for those doing the walk distance. It is a park setting, so the ground is relatively gentle and the lake stays in view for most of the route. Age group awards go deep across the field, so there is something at stake beyond the overall top finishers.
Race-morning check-in opens well before the gun and closes shortly before the start. Parking is at the Lake View Event Center and the grass lot beside it. Race-day registration is cash only, exact change required, and no chip timing is used, so results are by clock time.
