About the Lauren's Run & Picnic 2026
The race starts at a large office park near a major interstate interchange and qualifies for the AJC Peachtree Road Race, which matters to a lot of Atlanta runners. The course offers both a longer run and a shorter walk option, so groups tend to mix paces without anyone feeling out of place. Teams from schools and companies show up together, which gives the start area a reunion-morning feel.
After the finish, the event opens into a full picnic on the grounds, with games, inflatables, face painting, a live DJ, arts and crafts, and a sit-down lunch. Families affected by childhood cancer are specifically invited to join, and that shapes the tone of the afternoon considerably. It runs longer than most post-race spreads, more like a festival than a quick banana and a bag of chips.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2026 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Lauren's Run & Picnic 2026 has been held every year since at least 2023. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
