About the LAMP's Maroon and Gold Fun Run 2026
This is a lap-based fun run held at the Emory Folmar YMCA soccer fields, where participants walk, run, skip, or jump laps to raise money for school programs. Costumes are encouraged, since the event falls the day before Halloween, and prizes go to top fundraisers, best costumes, and the team that shows the most school spirit.
The start area is at the YMCA soccer fields, so parking and gathering space are built into the venue. The morning kicks off with a set window to complete as many laps as possible, with awards spread across individual and team categories, making it feel more like a carnival than a race.
