About the Lakewood Run
The Lakewood Run is put on by the local sheriff's station and a civic women's organization, and the proceeds go to their charitable work. Several distance options cover the same general territory, including a rucking division for those carrying weight. The course is in Lakewood, and the morning has a neighborhood feel rather than a big-production one.
After the race, there is food, live music, and a vendor area with an opportunity drawing. Results are announced at a ceremony once the field is in.
