About the 6th Annual Lakeside Ten Mile 5K Fun Run
The course runs point-to-point on pavement from the town area out to a marina on Watts Bar Lake, so you finish somewhere different from where you started. The terrain is mostly flat road with gentle rolling sections and lake views along the way. A short gravel stretch marks the very end.
Parking is available at both the start and the finish, and a shuttle runs from the marina back to town afterward. Post-race there are doughnuts, bananas, Gatorade, and water. The race benefits the local volunteer fire department, and first responders lead and trail the field throughout.
