About the Lake Summit 10 Mile Run/Hike
The course circles Lake Summit in a counter-clockwise loop through the quiet community of Tuxedo, mostly on packed gravel roads with lakefront homes on one side and the Blue Ridge Mountains visible beyond. There is one real hill, and the rest rolls gently enough that you can actually look around at the water and the fall foliage without losing your footing.
Packet pickup opens at the start area shelter on race morning, so there is no separate trip the day before. Parking is at the same location, right at the start and finish. Afterward, there are pancakes.
