The race starts and finishes at a medical pavilion campus, where fire, military, and police units set up displays and hands-on activities alongside the course. It runs as a chip-timed route for adults and a shorter fun run for kids, so families tend to spread across both. The surrounding area is flat and the campus setting keeps things contained and easy to navigate.

Before the gun goes off, there is an opening ceremony and a stretch of time where the hero-themed booths are already open.
