About the 10th Annual Lake Forest Chamber Elf Yourself 5K

The course runs entirely inside a sports park, on the park's internal streets. It is flat throughout, with a couple of loops, and the route is marked with color-coded arrows so you always know which lap you are on. A lead cyclist guides the front runners, and pacers go out with each wave. Strollers and dogs are welcome, and the holiday costume tradition is taken seriously.

Packet pickup is the evening before at the Chamber office. Race-morning pickup is available if you cannot make that window, but arriving early is strongly advised. Parking inside the park closes before the race starts; overflow parking at the church across the street is the backup. After the race, local restaurants set up with samples, and there is hot chocolate, a bounce house, and a pet costume contest.
