About the Labor Day 5k
The course runs through The Avenue, an outdoor shopping and dining district, so the surroundings are polished and pedestrian-friendly rather than park trails or road. The route is described as fast, which usually means flat pavement. ASICS footwear is available to try during the run itself, which is an unusual touch you do not see at most local races.
The start is right at The Avenue. After the race, there is music and refreshments on site, and the whole morning is set up to linger a bit before heading into the holiday.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
