This is a Christmas-themed road race that raises money for a local youth soccer club. The morning leans into the holiday atmosphere, with music along the route and plenty of runners showing up in ugly sweaters and festive socks.
The race benefits a local soccer organization, so the crowd around the start and finish tends to include soccer families as much as running regulars. The post-race energy feels more like a community fundraiser than a timed event.
